On heavy snow days the Tangmarg–Gulmarg stretch usually opens by 9:30–10 AM after BRO clears it. We aim to start from Srinagar by 7 AM so you reach Tangmarg as the road opens — not after, when the queue is two hours long.
Many hill stations have a local union that handles the last few kilometres (e.g. Tangmarg to Gulmarg in winter, Aru/Betaab from Pahalgam). It is normal and we'll explain the cost upfront so there are zero surprises at the stand.
Srinagar Airport (SXR) doesn't allow private cabs into the terminal arrivals. We park at the designated pickup bay 200m out and meet you at the exit with a name placard. Fastest path: walk straight, don't follow touts.
Gulmarg: late Dec–Feb for snow, May for tulips. Pahalgam & Sonmarg: April–October. Doodhpathri & Yusmarg: best between May and early October when the meadows are fully open.
